Welcome to My Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my page! My Uncle Andy, my Dad’s triplet brother, was diagnosed with ALS in August 2024. ALS is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. Currently, there is no known cause or cure.
Last year for the Chicago 2025 marathon, I was inspired while cheering on my three cousins (Alex, Nikki, and Meghan) who ran with the ALS United Greater Chicago team. I am so proud of the work they put in and the money they raised to help fight this awful disease. Andy’s story also motivated me to join the 2026 team. Andy is a former marathoner, triathlete, and Ironman finisher himself. The positivity with which he has faced life with and without this diagnosis is so inspiring. This will be my first marathon and I'm so grateful for the ability to challenge my body in this way, especially knowing what some have lost.
I am running the Chicago Marathon in 2026 as part of Andy's Army to raise funds that support patient services, provide critical resources, and help fund global, cutting-edge research for those living with ALS. I am so appreciative of any support!
