As many of you know, we lost my precious niece Shavonne to bulbar ALS on April 30th, just six months after her diagnosis. This vicious disease robbed her of the ability to walk, to talk, to swallow, to breathe on her own and eventually her life.
There is still no known cure for ALS. We must find a cure for this horrible disease, so that other ALS patients and their families do not have to suffer the same heartbreaking loss we have. The ALS organization was a critical support system to Shavonne and our family.
On September 6, 2025, my family and I will be participating in the ALS walk in memory of our sweet Shavonne. Please consider donating to TEAM Shavonne to help the ALS organization to continue its work on accelerating new treatments, optimizing current care, reducing the harm of ALS and hopefully one day, find a cure!
No amount is too small. Every dollar helps.
