Hey all! Wow, I can’t believe another year has already gone by once again!I am once again raising money to help and support those with ALS by participating in Walk ALS Peoria. I proudly serve on the Committee for the Walk, which is happening on September 6th, 2025 at Dozer Park in Peoria.You can help by joining my team (The Amazins!) and fundraising along with me (no, you don't have to walk in person, or even be here in Illinois, to join my team), or by simply donating. A little history: My beloved natural/biological father, Christopher Matisa, passed away from the terrible neuromuscular disease ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) many years ago. Since then, ALS United Greater Chicago has been instrumental in providing care, support, and resources for those afflicted, and of course, in funding the research to find a cure. I am participating in this fund-raiser for the sixth year in a row! ALS United Greater Chicago works all year round, but at this time of year, they help other communities throughout Illinois plan and execute Walks in their towns. The community of Peoria, Illinois, where we live, is a major participant every year. Please consider joining my team or donating.
