The Jack Pack
Jack and his Family 2012
My dad was diagnosed with ALS in 2010. ALS robbed him of the basic requirements to live...breathing, swallowing and speech. He was completely paralyzed from head to toe. But he chose to live on with valor using assistive devices. In 2015, he decided to end his fight. So many suffer from this debilitating disease. So much research and progress has been made. But there is still a long way to go. I invite you to join me in making a difference by either walking or donating.
Thank you for helping me reach my ALS Walk fundraising goal! The Walk raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
