Thank you for helping me reach my ALS Walk fundraising goal! The Walk raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
My Dad William “Bill” Paul Boschelli was diagnosed with ALS last year on March 19th 2024 and passed on August 3rd 2024. He had Bulbar ALS which is much more aggressive and took him faster than we were prepared for. My dad fought ALS with courage and gave it all he had till the end. Through my Dads life he showed us all what it meant to be there for those you truly love. He showed up daily for his family, friends, and coworkers who were like family to him as well. He had a huge heart and would go out of his way for all he knew and loved. So now after he WON the battle and escaped ALS we must carry on in his memory. We must show up daily for those we love. We show up now by raising money to help fund research and development in the ALS community in his honor so that not another family has to go through the pain of watching their loved one pass away in such a cruel way.
