Welcome to the All In for Harry Page
Several weeks later, it was discovered that Bob also has a gene mutation called C9 ORF, and although we don’t know who carried that gene, it is familial, and can be passed along thru future generations.
This is certainly not where we expected to be at this stageIn our lives, but we have decided to make the best of every day that we have together with our family and friends.Bob has a great love of life, and that’s why we are “All In” on this journey and fight!
The team at ALS of Greater Chicago have been amazing in helping us, along with our great medical staff, to navigate this journey, and that is why we decided to walk and help raise funds for this amazing organization.
Thank you for helping us reach our ALS Walk fundraising goal! The Walk raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure perhaps not for Bob, but for our children and grandchildren.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
