Natu and Christy - Walk ALS Chicago 2023
Natu and Christy - Walk ALS Chicago 2023

I'm walking in memory of my father-in-law, Natu. He was diagnosed with ALS in November of 2021 and died in December of 2023. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

The ALS Walk raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. This year will be the Greater Chicago’s 20th walk! Please consider donating, walking or both. Thank you for your continuing commitment!

The walk is on May 31, 2025 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL. Check-in at 8am. Walk starts at 10am.
