Thank you for helping me reach my ALS Walk fundraising goal! The Walk raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

I walk in honor of my mom Queen Sandifer who was diagnosed with ALS in 2009. She is one of the strongest women I know. She lives her life to fullest even with the blows this illness has thrown her way. She is a very faithful woman of God. She is constantly encouraging everyone around her. She is always smiling and grateful for everyday she is still here in the physical. I will cherish her always. I WALK because I CAN. Join us and the fight to find a cure.
