Andy's Army | Grateful to Run!
In 2025, I'm lacing up my shoes to run the Chicago Marathon! I'm running to raise money and honor my dad, Andy Snarski, who is living with ALS.
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive disease that attacks nerve cells and muscles slowly taking away the ability to move, speak, and breathe. Terrible, right?! Skip the rest and hit the Donate Now button so we can find a cure for ALS and you never have to think about this disease again.
But despite the continued challenges for my dad and our family, ALS can't touch my dad's unwavering determination to keep moving forward with the realistic optimism that we all know, love, and appreciate. He's an Ironman Athlete, a Chicago Marathon Finisher, and someone who has always made challenges look easy. If my dad (Grandy, as our kids call him) can move forward and face ALS with courage and strength, I can definitely run a marathon and raise money to help put an end to ALS.
ALS United is not just 'any organization associated with ALS that we are raising money for'. My Dad and Cindy are working closely with ALS United as they navigate the challenges that life with ALS presents - both big and small. The staff there are angels. Your donation is going to a great organization that is directly supporting our family.
I think about how grateful I am to (literally) lace up my running shoes and put one foot in front of the other on every training run. Please support me by donating to ALS United.
We've got this,
-Nicole Brickhouse (Andy's daughter)
And if you haven't heard, my younger brother Alex is also joining the team! Side bets welcome for which one of us will finish first. All proceeds, obviously, go to Team Andy's Army!
