Claire's Run Against ALS
I am running the 2025 Chicago Marathon with TeamALS to raise funds and awareness to help fight back against this terrible disease, and to honor my Uncle Pete who was diagnosed with ALS last year. My Uncle Pete is a 6x marathoner (including Chicago!), a badass guitarist, and someone I have always looked up to as both a runner and a human.
ALS United Greater Chicago provides much needed patient services resources, funds global, cutting-edge research, and much more in order to help those living with ALS.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to function. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
ALS is a devastating illness that deserves far more research and resources than are currently available. I am passionate about raising money for an organization like ALS United to help fight for more awareness, resources, and hope. Thank you for your donation. I am grateful for your support!
