Why I’m Running the Chicago Marathon for TeamALS
This year, I’m proud to be running a marathon as part of TeamALS, raising funds and awareness for a cause that’s deeply important to me: the fight against ALS.
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a devastating, progressive disease that robs individuals of their ability to move, speak, eat, and ultimately breathe. There is currently no known cure, and life expectancy after diagnosis averages just 2 to 5 years. Every 90 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with ALS—and every 90 minutes, someone else loses their life to it.
Through ALS United Greater Chicago, TeamALS supports vital services for patients and families, funds groundbreaking global research, and provides critical resources—free of charge—to those battling ALS in our community.
I’m running not just for the finish line, but for the thousands of people and families who face this disease with incredible courage. This is my way of showing them they’re not alone—and that we’re fighting alongside them for better treatments, more answers, and ultimately, a cure.
This is personal. This is urgent. And I need your help.
Every dollar you give supports patient care, fuels research, and helps spread awareness. Whether you donate or share my page, your support means everything.
Let’s push the limits together—and help end ALS.
