Welcome to My Personal Page
This October, I'll be lacing up my running shoes and hitting the streets of Chicago for the 2025 Marathon to raise funds and awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). ALS is a devastating diagnosis that affects so many.
I am running in memory of my Uncle Glen. After being diagnosed with ALS in the summer of 2015, he lost his battle in September of 2017. It was heartbreaking to see all that this disease stole from him. But even in the face of loss, he remained full of love, wisdom, and courage.
I also run in honor of Mike Lavelle, whom I had the honor to know from my good friends Ari and Kyle Lavelle. His journey mirrored so many others: families doing their best to stay hopeful in the face of a disease that has no cure. This year I am proud to join the team Always Lavelle Strong alongside with Mike's daughter, Megan McKee and Mike's niece-in-law, Ari Lavelle.
ALS doesn't just affect the person diagnosed- it impacts entire families. It's relentless. But together, we can be relentless too.
By supporting my run, you're not just cheering me through 26.2 miles- you're helping fund life changing research, patient care, and advocacy. Thank you for standing with me in this fight against ALS. Together, we can continue the fight for a cure!
