2024 TeamALS - Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Mad Dashers

Dear Friends and Family,

We are thrilled to announce that we're embarking on a marathon journey (Geneva's first; Caitlin's second) this fall, alongside Geneva's sister Charlotte (she has run many). Together, we're running in honor of Geneva's dad, who was diagnosed with ALS in June 2023. Our goal is to raise awareness for ALS and stand in solidarity with those who are no longer able to run themselves.

ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a devastating disease that progressively diminishes mobility and vital functions such as speech and breathing. The average life expectancy post-diagnosis is only 2 to 5 years. ALS can affect anyone, and unfortunately, there's currently no known cause or cure.

By joining TeamALS, we're not just running; we're advocating for ALS awareness and supporting vital services and research efforts. Every 90 minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with ALS, and every 90 minutes, another life is lost to this relentless disease.

We invite you to donate today to help us reach our fundraising goal and make a real difference. Together, we can bring hope to individuals and families impacted by ALS and work towards finding a cure.

Thank you for standing with us in this important cause!

Warm regards,

Geneva and Caitlin
