Thanks for visiting my page!
I'm running the Tokyo Marathon with Team ALS in memory of my Grandma, Carol Krentz.
In March 2020 my grandma died from complications due to ALS. It was hard to see her life change from active and involved grandparent to watching and unable to participate.
We especially saw this in big moments where she couldn't attend her grandkids' weddings or hold her great-grandchildren.
While training for a race a few years ago, I was told to have a motivational word to think of when my body gets tired. My word immediately became "family." I've been finding strength from not only my kids, husband, sisters and parents, but my grandma. My grandma whose body wouldn't allow her to continue living the life she loved. Who, the last time I saw her alive, told me to live my life while I was young.
This will be my fourth marathon running with Team ALS and so far I have raised over $10,000 for ALS research, support and awareness. Thank you for reading- let's keep raising money to end ALS!
