EVENT DAY BRACKET!!

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the 2nd Annual Memorial ALS Pickleball Tournament for Ron Sullivan will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 10720 N. Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, IL 61615.    Tournament begins at 9 a.m. This will be a two person team round robin type tournament. Rally scoring to 15, win by two, will be used. Each team is guaranteed 3 games.     NEW!!  We will have two divisions | Men's and Women's...if we have a mixed duo, they will play in the Men's bracket by default (unless we get enough mixed duos, then we can create a third category)! Please form your team and register now. Entry deadline is September 25, 2024.    Registration is $50 per person, and each participant will receive a t-shirt*.   *Just a heads up, t-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for registrations done by September 21st. After that date, there will be various sizes available, but it'll be first come, first served.   All proceeds from this tournament will go to ALS United and will be used locally in the Peoria area. Also available that day will be a bake sale and raffle baskets.

ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a progressive fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. At this time there is no known cause or cure for this debilitating disease. Ron Sullivan passed away from this disease in 2021. A pickleball tournament has been planned in order to keep his memory alive and to raise money to help others battling this disease and to help find a cure.
